Soft starting for industrial fans

7.5 kW centrifugal fans have heavy impellers with high inertia. Started direct-on-line or in star-delta, they cause current peaks and mechanical shocks to belts and bearings. The MV810G1-4T7.5B starts the motor gradually, with adjustable acceleration time. Belts no longer slip at start-up, the drive train lasts longer, and the supply network no longer suffers voltage dips.

Airflow matched to the process

In industrial extraction, the required airflow changes with the process. The drive adjusts speed from a differential pressure transmitter or from a PLC command. Vector control keeps torque stable across the whole speed range.

  • Built-in RS485 Modbus; optional PROFINET, EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP cards

FAQ

Can this drive replace star-delta starting?
Yes. The motor connects directly to the drive, without star-delta contactors. 400/690 V motors are connected in delta, and 230/400 V motors in star.

Does the drive help with belt-driven fans?
Yes. Gradual acceleration eliminates belt slip at start-up and reduces wear.

Can I control the drive from a PLC?
Yes, through digital and analog inputs or over RS485 Modbus. For PROFINET or EtherCAT, add the optional card.
